Description of Bicycle Her name is Arumi, and she is very dear to me. I brought her to America all the way from Japan, so she is unlike most any bike you can find in the U.S. She's a silver "Cocoilu," 9-speed commuter bike, equipped with riser handles, a metal basket, a rear rack, fenders, a chain guard, a light under the basket, a kick stand that swings out under the rear wheel, a generator in the axle of the front wheel that powers the light, and a lock that stops the rear wheel.
Decals and Special Markings On her frame there is a green decal that reads 岩見沢 D820619. This is her Japanese registration number.
Damage/Other Her rear fender was damaged at the bridge, and repaired with a large washer to hold it in place. Her seat was put too high, resulting in it getting bent at the base. Her rear rack had a black chain lock tied around it.
